    WORKING WITH ISI

    David Watkins,
    Network Programmer
Prior to ISI, I worked for over a decade for a large, multi-client mainframe service provider where my responsibilities were focused and limited to just one specialist field: Mainframe Network. Since moving to ISI seven years ago, I have been encouraged and supported to gain experience and develop skills also in other areas.

I have since become proficient in Mainframe Storage, System Configuration, CICS and general Systems Programming, which has enhanced my professional skillset and allowed me to expand the scope of support I can provide to ISI and the clients I support.

    Con Vasilikakis,
    Mainframe Systems Programmer
ISI provides an exciting and flexible working environment. I support multiple clients and have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of Hardware and Software systems. This allows me to add value and help our clients increase stability in their operating environments.

    Vincent Chan,
    Systems DBA
I have been given an opportunity to coordinate and lead mainframe teams and project teams which has allowed me to further enhance my communication and interpersonal skills. I was actively involved in both system and SQL performance monitoring and tuning in Db2 v12, which could be stressful at times, but it was also highly satisfactory to see the performance issues fixed. At first, it was challenging to take up a support role for one of the clients as I had no previous experience. The knowledge transfer and support from my mentors at ISI have greatly helped me put myself on track within a short period of time.
